Toe-touch crunch
Crunch with the legs raised that gives you a reach target without requiring a full sit-up.
Form. Raise your legs to a comfortable height, curl your ribs toward your pelvis and reach for your toes without pulling on your neck or losing your lower back.
Common mistake. Swinging your arms, bending your neck, lowering your legs without control, or coming up from the shoulders only.

Alternating toe-touch crunch
Lying with one leg raised, the opposite hand reaches up to touch the foot while the other leg stays planted; sides alternate.
Form. Lying with one knee bent and the foot planted, raise the other leg extended and lift the trunk bringing the opposite hand toward the foot; lower with control and switch sides.
Common mistake. Pulling on your neck, bending the raised knee a lot, bouncing off the floor, or lifting the lower back.
