What it does
- Today's readiness. An estimate from 0 to 100 that combines sleep, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate and recent load, always compared with your own range. How it is worked out.
- Gym. A library of over 600 exercises with over 700 demonstration videos, set logging, a rest timer, estimated 1RM with the Epley formula, volume and records. You can read the exercises in the public library.
- Nutrition. A catalogue of over 5,700 foods with Spanish names, household portions, favourites and a barcode scanner.
- Rhythm. Habits, supplements, goals, a planned week and a weekly review that gathers the facts of your week.
- Shared plans. A trainer or nutritionist prepares a plan in a web panel and sends it with a link or a code. The person sees what is in it and chooses what to import.
Where it reads data from
From Apple Health (sleep, steps, weight and workouts and, with the full access, heart rate, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, sleep stages and routes). It also takes Google Health, Strava and FIT files, as well as manual logging. Every data point keeps its source and its confidence, so you can tell measured from estimated. If the same session arrives two ways, it groups what clearly matches, asks about the doubtful ones and never deletes a source.
What it is not
- It is not a medical service and does not give a diagnosis. Readiness is an estimate and does not replace a professional.
- It is not a band: it sells no hardware and reads what your devices measure.
- Without a watch or band that measures heart rate there is no variability or resting heart rate, so the readiness number does not exist. The rest of the app works with manual logging.
- The thresholds in the calculation are design decisions, not yet validated with data from many people.
Who is behind it
GoForIt is developed by Daniel Ortega, in Spain, who also runs Pedalytics. Contact details are on the support page and how data is handled is in the privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
- Is GoForIt available?
- Not yet. The launch is in preparation and people on the waitlist will be told.
- Does GoForIt use its own band?
- No. It reads data from what you already wear, such as an Apple Watch, through Apple Health or Google Health.
- Does it work on Android?
- There is no native Android app yet. The web version lets you see your day, follow your plans and log workouts from the phone's browser, and it can be added to the home screen.
- Is my data mine?
- Your history lives in your personal account and only your account can read and change it.
