How to do it

Dumbbell march: exercise position

Dumbbell march

In-place march raising the knees while holding two dumbbells at your sides, which works the hip flexors, grip and trunk stability.

Form. Stand tall with a dumbbell in each hand, raise one knee to hip height without leaning, put it down with control and alternate at a steady rhythm.

Common mistake. Leaning the trunk back or to the sides, shrugging your shoulders, letting the dumbbells swing, or stomping the floor as you step.
