How to do it

Viking press with trunk rotation: exercise position

Viking press with trunk rotation

Press with the end of an anchored bar that combines a shoulder push with trunk rotation from a stable base.

Form. Use a light load, rotate in a controlled way from the hips and ribs and finish the press without arching the lower back.

Common mistake. Pulling only with the arms, locking the knees, twisting abruptly, or using a load that drags the trunk.

The muscles listed are an editorial reference, not a measurement. Adjust the range and the load to what feels comfortable.
