How to do it

Tuck jump
Explosive vertical jump in which the knees are brought toward the chest at the highest point, useful for power and conditioning.
Form. From a half-squat, jump hard using your arms, bring your knees toward your chest, extend your legs before touching the floor and land softly on the front of your foot.
Common mistake. Landing with stiff or inward-collapsing knees, hunching the trunk to bring the knees closer, chaining jumps with poor technique from fatigue, or doing it on hard surfaces without preparation.
