How to do it

Skater jump
Side-to-side jumps from one leg to the other with a controlled landing that work lateral power, the gluteus medius and balance.
Form. Push off laterally from one leg, land softly on the opposite one with the knee bent and the other leg crossing behind, stabilize and jump to the other side.
Common mistake. Landing with the knee inward, jumping farther than you can brake, locking the knee, or losing trunk control.
