How to do it

Standing single-arm dumbbell overhead press
Standing vertical press with a single dumbbell, which lets you work shoulder asymmetries while the trunk resists leaning sideways.
Form. Hold the dumbbell at shoulder height, squeeze your glutes and abs, and press overhead without pushing your ribs forward or leaning toward the weight.
Common mistake. Turning it into a push press, arching the lower back, shrugging the shoulder, tilting the trunk, or using a load you cannot lower slowly.
