How to do it

Seated dumbbell lateral raise
Lateral raise with dumbbells from a bench that reduces swing and makes it easier to focus on the middle delt.
Form. Sit tall, raise in a smooth arc to a comfortable height and lower with control without shrugging.
Common mistake. Using lower-back momentum, raising too high, bending the elbows too much, or bringing your shoulders toward your ears.
