How to do it

Jumping lunge: exercise position

Jumping lunge

Plyometric lunge in which you jump from the bottom and switch the front leg in the air.

Form. From a lunge, jump up hard, switch the position of your legs in the air and land softly in a lunge with the other leg in front; stabilize before the next jump.

Common mistake. Hitting the back knee on the floor, landing with the front knee inward, jumping without trunk control, or doing it before mastering the basic lunge.

Quadriceps, Gluteus maximus · Bodyweight

The muscles listed are an editorial reference, not a measurement. Adjust the range and the load to what feels comfortable.
