How to do it

Smith machine reverse hyperextension: exercise position

Smith machine reverse hyperextension

Hip extension from a face-down position using a Smith bar, to work the glutes and hamstrings with a controlled range.

Form. Secure the bench, start from the hips and raise your legs only as far as you keep a neutral lower back.

Common mistake. Swinging the legs, hyperextending the back, or using an unstable setup.
