How to do it

Dumbbell stiff-leg deadlift
Deadlift with dumbbells and a slight knee bend that emphasizes lengthening the hamstrings while keeping the load close to the body.
Form. Slide the dumbbells along your thighs, send your hips back and stop the descent when you can no longer keep a long back.
Common mistake. Reaching for the floor by rounding the back, turning it into a squat, or fully locking the knees.
